Each walk covers the most famous and historic sites in the subject city. All the starting points are either at or near a metro/train station exit, or at an easily accessible and well known location in the city.
Each city has a FREE audio overview, which you can download now from the iPodCity Overview page.
Many of the walks are circular and therefore finish at the point you start from. Others are linear, but always finish at a metro/train station, or near other transport facilities and is easily accessible.
Each walk includes simple, clear directions and easily identifiable landmarks to confirm your location.
Each walk is accompanied by a printable map and images of the points of interest on the walk. The maps also show where each chapter, or track, within the walk starts.
Each walk consists of about 7 or 8 tracks. Each track relates to a particular section of the route - so it is easy to access particular parts of the walk if you only want to do part of the route.
Each walk is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours long, walking at a fairly leisurely pace, taking in the surroundings. All are over relatively flat terrain.
You may wish to stop on the route, or visit one or more of the places of interest. This will add to the total time required to complete the walk. You may however decide to complete the walk and return to visit specific sites another day.
The walks keep you moving without loading you down with too many details, but with enough colourful background to bring the route to life for you. You get all the key facts for each place of interest as you walk.
Be aware of your surroundings when taking an iPodCityWalk route. Remember you will be walking in busy, often alien environments. IpodCityWalks is not liable for any injury, accident, arrest or damage suffered by any user of its walks.
